I’ve been a “real acoustic instrument” kick lately (even if they are virtual instruments as a logistical choice) and this one really sounded good to me today. First time through I said to myself, “Trio, where are the other instruments other than the reverbed piano?” Then on second listen I heard the nice subtle glockenspiel or whatever bell instrument or timbre, and gradually became aware of the low (contrabass?) moan under the piano. Lovely how those fit in there with the featured piano.
Right–I subscribe to “real” acoustic instruments any day because they still conjure a lot for me. The second sound in Trio is a vibraphone actually, and the third a sub bass which could be a bit louder, so that will have to be edited. Thanks for listening.
