“When Is That Young Man Going Home?”
(Centralia Daily Chronicle, 24 August, 1931 )
imagine a movie-going world where a live score was performed during every film.
Mind is boggling!
I do go to many silent films that have accompaniment and SO enjoy live music-to-film.
How unfortunate it is that it’s not practical in so many ways. But don’t you imagine that AI will take care of that, that there will be (or may be) alternate theatres you can go to where the score is played live by an orchestra not at all living?
of course, no human musicians would be playing, receiving pay for their beauty, their knowledge, their skill.
Nah.
